Please Help! How do I win her over?

Okay so I like this girl and I found out that she likes me too but also there is this other guy who has been liking her for a long time and is getting closer. So I try to talk to her more and stuff but that guy keeps being around her. I can't approach her while he is there. Lots of people are telling her how I would be so much better for her and how the other guy does disgusting stuff, has bad hygiene etc. but I think she thinks that they just don't like him and are making it up (it's true though). So I like her so much and I need a way to show how much better I am than that guy. I have close to no chances of being around her since that guy usually is. I was thinking that I would tell her that this song I'm listening to reminds me of her then when she asks which one I say 'Just the way you are - Bruno Mars- so that she gets a really big hint of the way I feel for her.
