Pending Membership - Email to owner to join keeps being rejected!?

I am trying to join a group which requires approval. I requested membership and received two emails from the owner/moderator stating my membership was pending. One email has the rules for the group and the other email has a application to complete and return to the owner/moderator within 48 hours to be approved. I have completed the application and tried to email it back to the owner/moderator several times and each time I get a rejection email from the mail administrator stating that my email has been rejected beacuse it violates the delivery policy which disallows Bcc's to list owners. I am not Bcc anyone. Help!
