Fahrenheit 451. This book falls in line with 1984. It posesses an alternate reality plot based on a futuristic US turned totalitarian. The story follows one of many "firemen" who's job it is to burn emotion evicting literature with cold calculatory precision and efficiency. This fireman soon discovers the joys of the very things he destroys for a living. That's all I'll devulge, go grab a copy and read it for yourself. I'm positive you'll enjoy it.
