What's the crocodile death roll and why do they do it?

It's when, after a crocodile grabs its pray, it begins to roll (this is where their tail comes in), they do this because the force of this roll causes the prey's limb/head to actually be pulled off. Or, it causes the prey to drown. Either way it is how the crocodile kills its prey.
