Is McCain really an American hero or a traitor?

I'm voting for Obama because of the issues. But I think McCain is a good man who served his country during a very difficult time. Dont you think if the storys about McCain were true the so called "liberal media" would run with the ball big time? vote the issues,vote the candidate,but lets keep the personal attacks out of this.
